Outcome
The problem
A small business that sharpens dental instruments was running scheduling and order tracking by hand. They needed a way for clients to book online and a single place to run the shop, without a heavy tool or a long build.
What I built
Two surfaces from one codebase: a public-facing scheduling form for clients, and an admin PWA to run the shop day to day. Clients book against real availability; the owner manages appointments, tracks orders, and talks to clients from one screen.
How it went
Scope stayed tight and focused on the core booking-and-manage loop. The MVP shipped in three months, on time and under the original budget, and is live for the business now.
Key features
- Appointment scheduling with time blocking
- Order tracking
- Two-way client messaging over SMS
- Transactional email notifications
- Client testimonials
Technical detail Stack, integrations, and the harder problems.
Integrations: Twilio (SMS), Resend (email)
- Public booking form and admin app share one Next.js + TypeScript codebase, with Supabase Postgres as the single source of truth.
- Two-way client messaging built on Twilio so the owner texts clients from inside the admin app.
- Transactional email (confirmations, notifications) handled through Resend.
- Admin experience delivered as an installable PWA so the shop can run it like a native app.
MVP & new product builds
From idea to a live, usable product, web or mobile, with the infrastructure to grow. This is exactly that engagement.
